Situation
A Yacht Service Center installed a Steelhead crane complete with a standpipe on a new yacht.
Problem
The yacht deck is built with a camber to allow water to run off. Anything bolted directly to the deck follows the line of camber rather than being level. Usually shims have to be added to compensate for this.
Solution
Steelhead's standpipe installation system has a gasket which allows for up to 3 degrees of deflection. The crane mounted to the deck with no levelling shims required making the installation easy and quick.
Results
The Yacht Service Center completed the crane installation quickly without having to use shims.
